With the New Year comes a new sound. “The Beat” on State Street in January is all about heARTS. 

The Mary Lou Zeek Gallery will be featuring 100 national artists with their interpretations of heart inspired art.  All artists were sent a 4”x4”x4” disassembled box stamped with postage with a prospectus printed on the outside.

“We asked that pieces be heart related and for each artist’s interpretation of what “heART” means to them.”  They were asked to return the boxes with the artwork inside.

The show will open on Tuesday, January 6th and close on Saturday, January 31, 2004

Due to inclement weather, the artists' reception has been rescheduled to  Wednesday, January 14, from 5 - 7 pm.

So, get with “The Beat”, stop by the gallery, and buy an early valentine.

(We'll be having a raffle the night of the opening and will donate the money to a heart organization: (we haven't yet decided who)
