"Dishin’ It Out - Ceramics With An Attitude"

The Mary Lou Zeek Gallery is gearing up for another “creative challenge”. The gallery has invited 15 top ceramic artists who are interested in “pushing the envelope” and are creating one of a kind serving pieces with “Attitude”. “Dishin’ It Out, Ceramics With An Attitude” will be our first annual exhibit showcasing top potters from the Northwest.

Participating Artists include: Tom Rohr, Kathryn Finnerty, Richie Belliinger, Marleen Miller, Doug Dacar, Joanna Bloom, Kim Murton, Pat Horsley, Barb Campbell, Natalie Warrens, Jim Koudelka, Victoria Christen, Dennis Meiners, Leslie Lee and Shirl Lipkin.

The Mary Lou Zeek Gallery and the Wild Pear are also offering an evening of “Dishin’ It Out” on September 16, 2004. Tickets for this evening are $30 per person with profits from the proceeds going to Marion-Polk food share. This is an evening you don’t want to miss and tickets are flying out the door. (WE ARE SELLING ONLY 100.) Wild Pear will be serving yummy hors d’oeuvres on our artist’s wonderful pieces which will be available for purchase. David Hill Vineyard will again be supplying the wine (Their Tawny Port earned a silver medal at the State Fair) and Cecila  and Jessica Ritter of the Wild Pear along with Tim Daly (Wild Pear’s Chef de Cuisine) and guest chef Jeff James of  j.james will be demonstrating their expertise preparing food.

We also invite you to stop in and buy a raffle ticket for another fun event on State Street..(we are exhausted)…dinner for four on State Street. Raffle tickets are available through September 23rd for $5.00 with the winning tickets to be drawn Sept.24th. The lucky winners will be treated to dinner September 28th ON State Street!!!! This fun evening involves all of the fun people on State Street, each business being paired up with a respected Salem restaurant and serving you at tables on the side walk. We can’t wait!!!!!! Profits from the proceeds will again go to Marion-Polk Food Share.
