In the Beginning
- June, 2001
Amidst a stunning
renovation of a long neglected electrical supply shop, a pedestal stands with a
large colorful pitcher by Salem, Oregon's own Mary Lou Zeek. On June 1st,
2001, the gallery began to exhibit a variety of clay,
sculpture, glass, jewelry, paintings, watercolors, art furniture and mixed media
by Pacific Northwestern artists.

Combining her experience
as a successful artist with this venture into business, Zeek will offer gallery
visitors unique insights into the art processes and the artists. "As
a gallery owner, it is very important to me to represent artists as hard working
people in our community." Zeek hopes time spent in her new gallery
will inspire patrons to embellish their lives with functional and decorative
art.

"You don't have to change your life - just embellish it."

Inside the Gallery - June 2004 The gallery has been a huge
success. “I am thrilled to know that
wonderful art is in the homes
and offices of many Oregonians, and am very proud to connect the work of over 60
hard-working artists with visitors to my gallery,” says Zeek.
